11 Facebook Rules to Follow

1. Never comment on your own status first.

2. Never "like" your own status. Ew.

3. Don't make your status a comment about Farmville, Petville, Restaurant City etc. People block those application updates for a reason. Better yet, don't even play any "ville."

4. Refrain from depressing updates. Unless you can somehow manage to add wit to the buzzkill.

5. Avoid overuse of punctuation. One exclamation point is enough. A singular exclamation point and question mark combo is forgivable.

6. A friend request should only occur after you have met some one 2 or more times (in person) and actually had a conversation directly with said person. Group conversations do not count.

7. Avoid status updates that beg attention (i.e. John Doe is Waiting for the most important call of his entire life.). Gross.

8. If someone untags themselves from a photo that you originally tagged them in, do not re-tag them. Take a hint. Its either you or themsself in the pic they don't like.

9. If you are going to complain about your job/boss on fbook. GL. You are making your own bed there.

10. More than 3 status updates per hour is excessive. More than 5 per day is also excessive. Mobile (photo) Uploads do not count.

11. Your profile pic should be just that YOUR pic. Group photos are confusing. There is an editor built in to crop. Also, obscure photoshop manipulation means you have something to hide. Weird.
