There have been many ups and down over the past year, but one audio delight always saw me through the downs, and enhanced the ups. That honor this year goes to Halo by Beyonce. 2008's winner was Disturbia by Rihanna, but this year we have a new Queen. Released as a single on January 20, 2009 Halo is sung in a lower register over a deep baseline, unlike many of B's mainstream hits. Its inspiring. STILL to this day, nearly a year after it was released, it gives me goosebumps. Thank you, Beyonce.
